Ground breaking took place October 10, 2020 with the family.
We were suddenly inspired to build The Tipi Retreat, opening it up to vacationers in search of something very special too. Looking to the south, you see the Wind River Indian Reservation. To the east is the Wedding of the Waters. And to the northeast, The Bighorn Mountains.

If you have never had the experience of spending the night with your friends in the middle of nature eating, singing, or telling stories around the campfire and sleeping in a tipi, protected from the cold and the night, then now is the time.
We have so much to thank the Native Americans for. When you try out a tipi, you’ll succumb to its magic and charm and will never forget the cozy, peaceful moments you spend in it.

Indoor pool includes a main pool with a waterfall, slide, baby pool, hot tubs, steam room and dry sauna. Indoor slide is open all year long and it’s great for all ages.
Enjoy the great outdoors in the outdoor pool. The temperature ranges from 94 degrees Fahrenheit to 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
The outdoor water slide is open from Memorial day to Labor day, depending on the weather.
There are three outdoor hot tubs that are great for soaking your sore muscles away. The temperatures range from 98 degrees Fahrenheit to 106 degrees Fahrenheit. The canopy provides nice shade for those really hot days.

Every tipi is furnished with:
- Free all day pass to Hellie's Tepee Pools and Spa in the Hot Springs State Park for every guest (about 5 miles from The Tipi Retreat)
- Free entrance to Gottsche Gym, the counties most equipped gym and indoor walking track for every guest
- Refrigerator/freezer including complimentary drinks and snacks (No Addition Charges)

- Coffee Machine (coffee and tea included)
- 5 gallons of drinking water (HOT and COLD)
- Plates, cups, silverware, dish washing tub, cooking utensils (just bring your favorite food to grill!)

Every guest will have an all day pass to Hellie's Teepee Pools and Spas located 5 miles from The Tipi Retreat. Every guest will also have an all day pass to the Gottsche Gym with indoor track, free weights, and so much more. Showers are located at both of these locations. The pools also have a Steam Room and Sauna available, not to mention Water Slides for the kids and adults; ALL at NO extra charge to you.
We have portable restrooms on site for all guests.
A community fire pit area will be lit and maintained by management in the evenings nightly (By Request Only). Great place to have conversations with other guests, make S'mores, or just come and hang out by the fire (unless local fire restrictions or wind)
Have PETS, bring them with you! Add them as a guest when making your reservation please. Check RULES section for details bringing your pet(s)
We are 5 miles from center of Thermopolis. There is 2 miles of county and private roads that are gravel. Parking is in front of the tipis beside gravel access road.
Accurate Directions are provided the day of arrival.
These are genuine tipis. This means you may see a moth, a beetle and/or other insects during the summer months. They are generally attracted to the light at night. We do not see mosquitos unless wind blows in an occasional 1 or 2 after a strong easterly wind. Remember, this is high end camping, but camping non the less.
We do have a small herd of goats, a flock of chickens, sheep, and ducks as we grow our 60 acre hobby farm. There are 2 friendly "Doodles" on the property that protect the livestock and chase away predators, for your protection as well.
You most likely will not see them unless you request to visit our Tipi Ranch too :)
